A Day 04:22
The streets full of people Their minds full of hate and regrets The pain of the past came too heavy and too fast But it won't be the last It hurts like the thorn Of a black coloured rose in your hands The children with tears in their eyes They don't lie and they have no demands We live in our cages And we don't know how to change it To change that, oh-oh And you believe that you're strong But I say that you're wrong Stop the rush, break the chains Live your life and make a change You believe that you're on the right way And chose the right day We will lose control and we'll never find out What we're waiting for If we don't learn how to live for today For today You loaf on your chair thinking life is unfair But do you really care? You're watching TV but the things that you see Are not supposed to be We work like machines everyday and it seems That this is all we've got The streets full of people They're lost 'cause their hearts 're full of doubts We haven't learned from our mistakes yet And we don't know how to change it To change that, oh And you believe that you're strong But I say that you're wrong Stop the rush, break the chains Live your life and make a change You believe that you're on the right way And chose the right day We will lose control and we'll never find out What we're waiting for If we don't learn how to live for today Haven't you heard? What you give is what you get So why don't we try to make More of our lifes instead And go ahead Stop the rush, break the chains Live your life and make a change You believe that you're on the right way And chose the right day We will lose control and we'll never find out What we're waiting for If we don't learn how to live for today

Standing on this platform I'm waiting for my train in vain No one's here to comfort me And I surrender myself to the pain Fellow wind is calling He knows that I'm deeply sad Mother earth is wondering Why I won't share my pain with her But I can’t Everytime when the leaves are turning red I think of you but no tear can bring you back Mighty storms break the clouds and the waves of the sea But they won't take away all my sweet memories Seasons change but I'm Still the same without you Seasons change but I'm Still the same without you Ghostly brеath of wind on my shoulder It must be you touching my skin I refusеd to see that it's over I need you now and I want you to be here But now it's been years Everytime when the leaves are turning red I think of you but no tear can bring you back Mighty storms break the clouds and the waves of the sea But they won't take away all my sweet memories Seasons change but I'm Still the same without you Seasons change but I'm Still the same without you Seasons change I'm still the same Seasons change without you

Not Too Weak 04:38
There's a cut in my soul That makes me wanna fall down the edge There's been a time in my life Where I thought it would make me break I had to learn to stand up once again And find a way to believe in myself And get back to the strength I had I'm not too weak to proceed All the bad thoughts will bounce off of me I'm still too proud to give up There's so much more to achieve And still good things to believe in No matter what it takes It won't make me fall on my knees again I'm not too, I'm not too I'm not too weak to proceed I'm not too, I'm not too I'm not too weak to proceed There'll be things in your life That show you who you really are There'll be times that will nearly break you And leave their scars There will be fears you'll have to face Don't let them chain you in the dark Don't let go of the good in you And never give up, oh I'm not too weak to proceed All the bad thoughts will bounce off of me I'm still too proud to give up There's so much more to achieve And still good things to believe in No matter what it takes It won't make me fall on my knees again I'm not too, I'm not too I'm not too weak to proceed I'm not too, I'm not too I'm not too weak to proceed I had to learn to stand up once again (Fears you'll have to face) And I had to learn To not be afraid I'm not too weak to proceed All the bad thoughts will bounce off of me I'm still too proud to give up There's so much more to achieve And still good things to believe in No matter what it takes It won't make me fall on my knees again I'm not too, I'm not too I'm not too weak to proceed I'm not too, I'm not too I'm not too, I'm not too

Loose Flag 03:47
Seems I lived a thousand lies for you, Mama 'Cause all the moments that you've smiled Seem to be less than the ones you've cried And there's no healing in sight You don't hear my words, oh Mama My words are carried away by the wind Like a loose flag in a foreign land And there's no coming back Seems I've lived a thousand lifes for you, Mama I'd move a mountain for you Or catch your falling star that fades into the dark But you don't want me to Why don't you see the good things in life, Mama Don't you see you have everything you need Try to open your heart and your soul To find a thing that's called love You're lovеd
5.
Unspoken 04:23
Many words were spoken Many words without a meaning, oh-oh My will to speak is broken 'Cause it seems that nobody hears me I squat on the floor Next to those doors But I swear I won't cry anymore 'Cause all the things I've said And all mistakes that I've made won't Make me feel ashamed 'Cause I've learnt from them Everyday I have to choose To sacrifice, to win, to lose Life is a challenge, but it's ok I'm facing it and I'm not afraid I built a bridge into the sky To reach the stars and get away from all these lies That I'm surrounded by So many chances I didn't take But I'll get by, it'll never be too late I try to live my dreams And need to be free But I have to let go of my fears 'Cause all the things I've said And all mistakes that I've made won't Make me feel ashamed 'Cause I've learnt from them Everyday I have to choose To sacrifice, to win, to lose Life is a challenge, but it's ok I'm facing it and I'm not afraid I squat on the floor But I swear I won't cry anymore 'Cause all the things I've said And all mistakes that I've made won't Make me feel ashamed 'Cause I've learnt from them Everyday I have to choose To sacrifice, to win, to lose Life is a challenge, but it's ok I'm facing it and I'm not afraid

about

In 2014, Lyn Conary released her first selfmade LP "Ordinary exception" under a different artist name (Carreaux). Within 6 months she had recorded, arranged, mixed and mastered all the songs herself.

"I decided to start with the songs I wrote first. Back then I was in my teens, around 16, 17 years old. It was quite daring to built that bridge between today and the past, but it worked out fantastically well, since I can now relate even more to some of the lyrics than ever.

You surely want to know why I decided to re-release 5 songs of my debut album. There are two reasons: When I recorded my first CD, I had no experience and wasn’t able to make the most of my studio set-up at the time. Especially the digital drums needed a make-over and I replaced them with more natural sounding samples. Also my lead vocals needed some pitch correction, I fixed all the crooked tones and adjusted the dynamics. For A DAY, I completely re-recorded the acoustic guitar.

To give the EP a fresh and new overall sound, I had the finished mixes professionally re-mastered by Attila Tapolczai, who also mastered my third album ‘Anything but Your Truth’.

And second, it was important to me to release these 5 songs under my Lyn Conary, because they belong to my regular repertoire and are part of my live sets."
